Yomega Firestorm Wing
Go to Wal-Mart and pick up a Yomega Firestorm Wing. These yoyos are typically running about 3-5 bucks on clearance nowadays. Throw away the string and the plastic transaxle that comes with it. Go to the hardware store with one of the Firestorm halves and a bearing sleeve (Losi or Spintastics) and ask for clear rubber tubing. Most hardware stores should have an entire rack of various tubings very cheap, about 40 cents a foot on average. Place the bearing sleeve around the axle and notice the gap that exists. Find tubing with an inner diameter large enough for the bearing sleeve to fit in snugly, and an outside diameter that is approximately the with of the gap you need to fill. Buy a foot of that tubing. Also, while you are there, find something that you can use as a thin shim, I like small nylon washers. Go home and cut two small strips of the tubing and jam the bearing sleeves in, now through a process of trimming, trim the outsides of the tubing till in fits inside the oversized hole in the yoyo halve. This should be done as snug as possible. Insert a bearing of choice and and you have wicked little yoyo, trust me. I like shimming my yoyos up a little, if you do, here is a tip: The side the shim is inserted on make sure that side's bearing sleeve is sanded down an amount equal to the with of the shim you just used. This works wonders.
