Hello all..
This year at BAC we're bringing you something very flavorful and exciting..
THE PRO INVITATIONAL MELTDOWN!!!!!! (in that sunday morning monster truck challenge commercial
voice)
The rules are simple...
-Every team sends ONE player to the PIM
-Admission to this division is $25 dollars per player, we encourage the team leaders or sponsoring
company to pay this fee
-Any team can enter just as long as I consider it a legitimate team
-There is only one winner in the PIM, winner takes all. We're anticipating the prize money to be
somewhere in between $200 and $300 depending on how many entrants there are.
-We would love to see every manufacturer team (Duncan, YYF, YYJ, Yomega, etc..) send a player to
this along with store teams, and some teams that serve very little purpose other than to be a team.
A team cannot be created just for this contest, you must be a legit team with multiple members.
Here's what's going to happen..
Player gets up on stage with a grip of yoyos ready to throw down for any style.
We randomly pick a style.. 2A, 3A, 4A, or 5A
When their music starts the player must do a 1 minute freestyle in that style, music stops, we pick
again, music starts again and the player does another 1 minute freestyle in the second style.
There IS the chance of the same style being picked twice, this is why it's called THE PRO
INVITATIONAL MELTDOWN.
You must also have a CD with a song that is a minimum of 3 minutes long, that same song will be used
for both Freestyles.
All entrants must email me at Kiya @ anti-yo.com before the contest if you'd like to be included in
this momentous occasion of a contest.
In other news, BAC is going to be great this year, i can just tell...
Anti-Yo is releasing 10 limited edition colored Busine$$ yoyos at BAC.
They will be called Mexican Busine$$, and they'll be available at Turf starting Friday May 4th at
5pm.
Watch out for some other special things available during BAC...
There are a few reasons why i wanted to do the PIM just in case anybody is wondering....
I feel like as though every little contest around the world, whether it be skateboarding, BMX
riding, eating contests, text messaging championships, or video game contests have cash prizes for
the pros that make it to the top. Why do we never offer our professionally sponsored players cash
prizes? How is the yoyo world any less of a skill than professional video game players or pro
skaters?
We're not, which is where THE PRO INVITATIONAL MELTDOWN comes into play.
See ya'll next week!
