(August 1st) (1)

Just wanted to share some of the progress I've had developing the Double-Take Industries yo-yo clothing and other yyr things that you can read more of from my most recent blog post, this is an excerpt from the post regarding the new shirt that I'm planning on releasing on the 1st of August :)

"""I have five different concepts ready to be produced but the first one is the Yo-Yo Tree concept, I had Emily Butcher from Talon Tattoo near the Western Idaho Fairgrounds do the art work for me and the results were phenomenal, The shirt will be gray and the art will be printed in black (for that artsy look)."""

To read the rest of my blog post see: http://themikemonty.com/?p=218; It discusses what I'm doing with Double-Take Industries and how I'm bringing it into the Yo-Yo Industry; shows the shirt you see above, the yo-yo video contest I'm throwing, and discusses briefly the yo-yo I will be having manufactured soon! :)

Thanks for reading! Hope to hear your comments! :)

Big Borther bully review (6)

So I got the new Bully yoyo and I have to say the annodizing on it is sharp and seems to be preatty durable. I've never been known for going easy on yoyos and the finish on this one has stood up over the past few weeks of play. It is a smooth finish no beadblasting or anything and its still smooth in your hand when your doing grinds. The yoyo weighs in at my desk at 69 grams and I can honestly tell you it doesn't feel like that at all when your playing with it. I have two theories on this eather the balance is so finely tuned that it allows it to play fast or behind my back it stole my slimfasts and as soon as a throw it it sheds a few grams here and there and makes it play ever so nicely right when you want it too. My money is on the first theory. My only issue with it was the thumb grind lip. It isn't as apparent as other yoyos and you can't always catch it at first, you have to brush up on your technique a bit to get it solid, but let me tell you when you do catch it you can do thumb grinds forever and its slow to precess when you are doing them. I have to tell you the guys over at big brother put soem time in on this yoyo and it shows, well done guys, and for a c-note its a steal.
