…to break the yet to be certified Guinness record for most people yo-yoing at the same time. According to this article in the Orlando Sentinel, 2102 people yo-yoed at the same time last week at the Orlando Regional History Center. They were trying to break a record ’set’ last year by the Bowie Baysox, in Maryland. Guinness hasn’t recognized the 1600 from that event as the record holders, so the ‘official’ record is still 432.

Stephen Cole recently spent his holiday break from Missouri Southern State University in Africa, where he spent a lot of time teaching local kids how to yo-yo. Check out this article from The Neosho Daily News. Stephen would like to send 20 yo-yos back to the kids in Africa, let’s help him out with this. We all must have some old yo-yos (working!) that would be good for beginners that we don’t use anymore…e-mail me at yoyo@mitchells.com if you have some to spare…

But now, you can get your very own yo-yo floor lamp! Yes, that’s right kids, get your own floor lamp and try to decide who will be the first to kick it over onto the cat. A bargain at $318!
